But I'll be back in January for a couple weeks, so no worries. So, today is the day. My bags are packed and in the front hall. The taxi will be here at 12:30. My flight is at 3:40. Jenny is picking me up at the airport in Cairo.
I was super nervous last night, but then I turned on 19 Kids and Counting and realized that things could always be worse. At this point in time, I'm very glad that I'm coming home in January. My sister is coming to Egypt in December, and then we're flying home on the same day. But it makes it feel less scary, and more like an extended semester abroad than "I'm moving to Egypt." My mom is happy about it too.
I was Stumbling (on stumbleupon.com) last night, and I came across a serendipitous quote that said "The things we worry about never happen." Again, another thing to calm my nerves. I think the cosmos is telling me to STFU and go.
So that's what I'm going to do. Perhaps I'll grace you with a people watching blog, and I'll definitely post pictures of the apartment (which is supposed to be pretty awesome).
See ya on the flip side.
Your blog posts sounds like your blurbs... short and sweet. I love how you were watching 19 kids and counting and thought that things could be worse... HAHA miss you already!
